Introduction to the Extensometer:

The large deformation video extensometer is a non-contact, high-precision real-time measurement system for significant deformations. It utilizes a standalone digital camera and real-time image processing algorithms to capture images of the specimen during the testing process. By analyzing changes in image features, it can dynamically and in real-time measure data such as strain and displacement, accommodating tests with deformations of 1000% or more. It is particularly suitable for testing materials like rubber and films and supports signal communication with the testing machine to measure various mechanical performance parameters, including stress-strain curves, and can be used for a variety of large deformation mechanical tests.
