Description

PW-CUV40H UV Aging Chamber

I. Product Application:

The UV aging test chamber simulates the destructive effects caused by sunlight, rain, and dew. It tests materials by exposing them to controlled high-temperature cycles of UV radiation and moisture. UV lamps are used to simulate solar radiation, while condensation and water spray simulate dew and rain. Within just a few days or weeks, the UV aging equipment can reproduce the damage that would occur outdoors over several months or even years. This includes fading, color changes, loss of gloss, chalking, cracking, crazing, blistering, embrittlement, reduced strength, and oxidation. The test results can be used to select new materials, improve existing materials, or evaluate changes in material formulations.

II. Equipment Features:

  1. Capable of conducting individual irradiation, condensation, or water spray tests, as well as programmable combinations of irradiation/condensation/water spray tests.
  2. Provides comprehensive real-time monitoring and curve recording of important test parameters such as irradiance, temperature, and time. Reports and curves can also be generated and printed via a computer.
  3. Equipped with a 7-inch true-color touch screen control system from Taiwan, which offers excellent stability, monitoring, operability, and maintainability.
  4. Provides a lifespan reference for the UV lamps (which are consumables with an approximate lifespan of 1,000 hours), facilitating user confirmation of lamp replacement time and reducing usage costs.
  5. Features an automated water supply and drainage design, coupled with a high-cost, high-power water pump to ensure the flow rate and uniformity of water spray.
  6. The majority of the main components are sourced from international brands, with a small portion from domestic brands, enhancing the product’s safety and reliability.
  7. The electrical installation and wiring of the equipment comply with international electrical standards.

III. Principle and Function

  • The UV weathering test chamber employs fluorescent UV lamps as the light source. It accelerates the weathering test of materials by simulating UV radiation and condensation from natural sunlight to obtain the weathering results of materials. This chamber can simulate environmental conditions such as UV radiation, rain, high temperature, high humidity, dew, and darkness in natural climates. By reproducing and combining these conditions into a cycle that runs automatically for a set number of repetitions, the UV aging test chamber operates.
