1 Scope
This standard specifies a series of test methods for the adhesive tape and substrate to maintain adhesion under parallel constant load conditions. This standard is applicable to the test methods for the shear adhesion of adhesive tape.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 22396 and the following are applicable to this document.
3.1 Shear Adhesion
The ability of a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape to resist the destruction of the adhesive surface caused by parallel shear forces.
3.2 Roughness Average
The arithmetic average deviation of the surface roughness profile. That is, the arithmetic mean of the absolute values of the deviations from the mean line within the sampling length of the surface roughness profile.
3.3 Test Assembly
The assembly formed by pasting the adhesive tape to be tested on the test plate.
4 Classification
4.1 The methods of this standard can be divided into the following types according to the different objects of adhesion and temperature conditions of the adhesive tape:
- Method A: Test method for shear adhesion of adhesive tape with vertical standard steel plate.
- Method B: Test method for shear adhesion of adhesive tape with vertical test plate covered with NIST SRM1810A standard fiberboard.
- Method C: Test method for shear adhesion of adhesive tape with vertical test plate covered with fiberboard specified by the buyer and seller.
- Method D: Test method for shear adhesion of fiber-reinforced adhesive tape with horizontal standard steel plate.
- Method E: Test method for shear adhesion of fiber-reinforced adhesive tape with horizontal test plate covered with NIST SRM1810A standard fiberboard.
- Method F: Test method for shear adhesion of fiber-reinforced adhesive tape with horizontal test plate covered with fiberboard specified by the buyer and seller.
- Method G: Test method for shear adhesion of adhesive tape after being placed on a vertical steel plate at high temperature for 10 minutes.
